Where is the cat?

Today Dolly told me to look and shout for someone:

Dolly:  (Shouting) Jock Cat !!

Me:     Who is Jock Cat (thinking it’s a very random name)?

Dolly:   It’s a cat mama.

Me:     Who’s cat?

Dolly:  It’s Georgina’s, it lives in Cong King ( I had talked about Hong Kong earlier where she must have heard the name but not quite grasped how to say it).

We are a very long way from finding this mysterious cat but doing a good job in pretending to look for it  !!

Dolly and the bear

On our way to nursery each day we pass a wooden carved bear that Dolly likes to say hello to as we drive by.

Today my husband and I decided to stop the car in front of the house where the wooden bear is and thinking the coast was clear we started waving and chatting out of the car window to the bear which Dolly found hilarious.

Suddenly it dawned upon us, what we thought was an empty car beside us was clearly not as out of the car stepped a very confused looking man.  Needless to say we made a swift exit.

Animal Names

Dolly has decided to call our neighbours dogs “Sandwich” and “Hello” even though that is not their real names.  This in turn means we also have to call them “Sandwich” and “hello” which can be slightly embarrassing when calling on them especially as we don’t know our neighbour very well.  He must think we are completely mad !!

Even more cringe worthy, we already have to call or shout for a dog at a local restaurant who Dolly has named “Lion”. This is definitely not its name and especially not a name I tend to associate with a Chihuahua.
